In and around Utrecht, there is plenty to do. Fitnessclubs, squashcentres and many other sportsfacilities are located in the centre of the city. Olympos Sports Centre is located at the University´s campus The Uithof. We offer summer school students a special Summer School Sports Card for € 17,50 which offers you unrestricted use of the tennis, squash, fitness and beach volleyball facilities at Olympos from 1 July until 1 September.
Many parks can be found in Utrecht: a broad variety of people will be relaxing or sporting there. If you want even greener surroundings; just outside the city one finds the Maarseveense Plassen, and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, where you can spend a day out and hike or just relax along the lake.
For those who want a short break from walking through the buzzing city centre, perfect peace can be found in hidden courtyards, pretty parks and cloisters. You will walk into those places in unexpected corners in the middle of the city.
Also, you can relax in one of the many excellent cafés, while enjoying a stunning view of the city. The large collection of pubs, restaurants and street cafés on ’t Wed, Neude and the Cathedral Square (Domplein) allow you to explore some place day and night!
