A three-week dive into European business life. Deal with intercultural differences in a business setting, and work on case studies in the Netherlands and Italy. The course European Business Skills offers theoretical background, but especially a practical approach to the skills needed in a European business setting. How do you prepare your marketing strategy for entering the German market? What can you expect in a first meeting with Spanish prospects? What do you need to know about the family business tradition in Italy? And, of course, how do you deal with the Dutch?

This course offers you two case studies in the food and agribusiness, both in the Netherlands and in a southern part of Europe: week 2 of this programme will take place in Milaan, Italy.

TARGET GROUP

This course is open to bachelor students in the field of business, marketing and finance, and to (bachelor and master) students who have some background and/or a strong interest in these fields.

COURSE AIM

Participants will have increased their knowledge of and the skills needed to understand the challenges of operating in a European business setting, will have an overview of current trends and hot topics, and will have experienced their own strengths and weaknesses in assignments and case studies where they are asked to analyse and solve problems, and focus on the implications of theory for real-life.

Approximately 100 contact hours.

FEE

• € 1920 - Course + course materials + housing + mealplan

The transfers from Utrecht to Italy and from Italy back to Utrecht are included in the course fee.
