MIR is a truly interdisciplinary area, involving researchers from the disciplines of musicology, cognitive science, library and information science, computer science and many others.

ISMIR 2010 will provide a venue for the exchange of ideas, issues, results and perspectives. It will bring together researchers, developers, educators, librarians, students, and professional users. They will be able to present and discuss their ideas in various formats, such as plenary and poster presentations, demonstrations, discusions and tutorials. ISMIR 2010 will cover the entire area of MIR, providing ample room for diversity and new developments.

In order to qualify for the Student Fee, you must mail or fax a copy of your student registration card, or a letter signed by your supervisor, to the organisers at the time of registration. For contact information see below under More Information.

Conference participants can reserve student housing in Utrecht University accommodation (subject to availability). Please notice that these are student rooms, not hotel rooms (please check "housing" for more information about student accommodation). For links to other accommodation options see the Conference website.

Tutorials take place on Monday 9 August. The tutorial fee (€ 50 / tutorial) is not included in the Conference fee. Please note that tutorials are held simultaneously (two in the morning and two in the afternoon). On the registration form, under Extra Remarks, you can indicate the numbers of the tutorial(s) you want to include. Please make your choices carefully in order to prevent booking simultaneous tutorials. The fee will be added to the payment request.
