Video: Utrecht Summer Schools in Science
This summer school is held under the auspices of the Graduate School of Natural Sciences.

TARGET GROUP
Advanced and ambitious bachelor students in the Humanities or Sciences with a strong interest in History and Philosophy of Science. The Utrecht Summer School curriculum will provide you an excellent introduction to the field of HPS and offer an opportunity to get acquainted with the HPS master program in Utrecht.
COURSE AIM
Introducing students to modern debates in the History and Philosophy of Science (HPS). The central theme will be Scientific Revolutions.

26 August 2013 - 30 August 2013 (1 week)
CREDITS
1.5 ECTS credits + Certificate of Attendance
STUDY LOAD
Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. One excursion included.
FEE

Applications should include:

- Recent set of transcripts (marks/grades) in English, German, French or in Dutch for Dutch students (submit through your account)

You will be notified of the result of your application within two weeks after the application deadline.

SCHOLARSHIPS
A limited number of scholarships in the form of (partial) fee waivers intended for talented students from developing countries is available. Talented students from other countries can also apply. There are no travel grants. If you seek financial support you should state your request (on a separate sheet) by describing the reasons for applying to this summer school and how your participation will assist you in future studies and your career. You should explain your financial situation and list other means you have available for financing your participation inthis summer school. The applications for scholarships will undergo a selection procedure.
Students who will enroll in the MSc programme History and Philosophy of Science in September 2013 or February 2014 as well as UU-students and UU-PhD students are exempted from paying the €225 Summer School Course + course materials fee.
Students at partner universities of Utrecht University are especially encouraged to apply. They will receive (some) reduction on the fee. The exact amount of this reduction will be announced once the application procedure has been closed.
