During the last decades the Netherlands has been very active in the innovation of science and mathematics education. Currently Dutch curriculum development projects are in progress for the subjects mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry and advanced integrated science and mathematics.
This Summer School aims at providing secondary science and mathematics teachers and educators, curriculum developers and researchers with a blend of lectures, seminars and other activities on curriculum development and related research. The programme will be tailored to the interests of both mathematics and science education.

This course is organized by Freudenthal Institute for Science and Mathematics Education and held under the auspices of the Graduate School of Natural Sciences.

TARGET GROUP
Secondary science and mathematics teachers, curriculum developers and researchers with proficiency in English. (Maximum number of participants: 60).
COURSE AIM
Bringing participants up-to-date in curriculum development and research in the field of science and mathematics education. Refreshing and deepening the knowledge in core subjects of various fields of Science and mathematics.

SCHOLARSHIPS
A limited number of scholarships in the form of (partial) fee waivers and/or accommodation intended for talented students from developing countries is available. Talented students from other countries can also apply. There are no travel grants. If you seek financial support you should state your request (on a separate sheet) by describing the reasons for applying to this summer school and how your participation will assist you in future studies and your career. You should motivate your financial situation and other means you have available for financing your participation to this summer school. The applications for scholarships will undergo a selection procedure.
