Together with students and teachers from other countries you will follow an intensive programme about care and communication related to patients with head & neck cancer, visit health care institutes in the Netherlands and you will be inspired by experienced teachers. The programme consists of: lectures, workshops and various excursions (e.g. a clinical practice)

Objective:
to learn more - in a 2 week intensive programme - about the overall ((para)medical) problems regarding head & neck cancer, especially concerning: dentistry, speech & language therapy, optometry/orthoptics, dermatology/skin therapy.

TARGET GROUP

This course is designed for students or recent graduates in the field of speech therapy, skin therapy/ dermatology, dental hygiene/ dentistry, orthoptics/ optometry and other related fields of study in healthcare.

COURSE AIM

By attending this course, you will become aware of the ways in which health problems outside your field of expertise may affect the type of treatment you offer a patient. You will learn how to contribute to the multidisciplinary treatment.

5.0 ECTS credits + Certificate of Attendance

STUDY LOAD

This is a full time course for two weeks, Monday -Friday (additional self-study).

After this course you will have more knowledge regarding the subject cancer in the head and neck area.
