Utrecht University and the Utrecht Summer School have an ongoing exchange programme with King's College London. In 2019 there are 12 places available for UU students to attend a course in King's College London Summer School.

King's College London ranks 23st in the QS World University Rankings 2018 among 800 top education institutions. It has more than 26 thousand students from more than 150 countries worldwide.

PRICE: No tuition fee for UU exchange students. The accommodation fee (if required) is £1200 per module. This includes a daily campus meal allowance

HONG KONG

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)

HKUST Campus

The HKUST International Summer Exchange Program (ISP) allows students to study at HKUST during the summer term as exchange students.

In Summer 2018, HKUST welcomed over 250 exchange students.

In 2019, the programme will run from the 17th of June until the 10th of August. There are 20 places available for UU students to attend HKUST in 2019. ISP offers an interesting range of courses on different subjects. Click here for the ISP website of HKUST.

Beside the academic program, students are invited to a series of exclusive programme activities. These include the orientation, campus and city tours, welcoming and farewell dinners and various workshops on Hong Kong/Chinese culture (e.g. daily Cantonese, Chinese calligraphy, 'Wing Chun'). You will be given opportunities to mingle with other ISP students, local HKUST students and the staff. Are you interested?

PERIOD: from 17 June 2019 - 10 August 2019 (accommodation period is from 13 June to 11 August).

PRICE: The tuition fee is waived for students nominated by Utrecht Summer School. Students nominated Utrecht Summer School will pay a “UG exchange fee” of HK$ 8.000,- (approximately € 900,-), which includes on-campus accommodation fee, student visa application & handling fee and HKUST Compulsory Travel Insurance fee. If the student does not require student visa to study in Hong Kong, the visa fee will be deducted accordingly.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)

CUHK

The CUHK International Summer School (ISS) is one of the region's most recognized summer programmes attracting an annual cohort of some 600 international and local students. The ISS provides students with an intensive academic experience and Chinese culture immersion in a multi-cultural learn environment through two sessions in July and August. All courses, except Chinese language courses, are taught in English by outstanding academics from CUHK and prestigious overseas universities.

PERIOD: July session and August session.

PRICE: Students will only have to pay for accommodation, administration fees, visa, etc. The course fee is waived for exchange students nominated by the Utrecht Summer School.

KOREA

EWHA Womans University

EWHA university

Founded in 1886, Ewha Womans University is Korea’s very first institution of higher learning for women. In the summer, both men and women study at Ewha. It has since grown to become one of Asia’s most prestigious universities and one of the largest women’s universities in the world. Over 3,000 students from more than 70 countries visit Ewha each year through various short- and long-term programs to experience Ewha’s leading global infrastructure and quality education. PRICE: Tuition fee is waived. There will be a dormitory fee (different for single room or double room) and a mandatory field trip.
